Held at the District56 Aquatics Parking Lot, Big Truck Day gives kids the chance to explore the large vehicles and heavy equipment that help keep the city running every day. Featured vehicles will include city buses, cranes, street sweepers, backhoes, tractors, vector trucks, and more.
Young attendees will have opportunities to climb aboard select vehicles, sit behind the wheel, and in some cases even honk the horns. The event will also feature interactive activities, photo opportunities, and food available for purchase on site.
Organizers say the annual event is both educational and entertaining, offering families a close-up look at the equipment and public works crews that support city infrastructure and services throughout Elk Grove.
Big Truck Day is free and open to the public.
