Part memoir and part love letter to the 1970s and ’80s glam-rock era, the solo theatrical production stars actor and professional magician Albie Selznick. Blending storytelling, magic and memories, Selznick recounts how he mimed, juggled and tightrope-walked his way through Los Angeles’ theater, nightclub and rock scenes in hopes of reaching Bowie. The show also features narrative appearances by Andy Warhol and other celebrated cultural figures of the era. Written by Selznick and director Laura Maccabee, Letter from David premiered at the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival, where it was nominated for a Fringe Festival Planners Pick Award.
