SOUTH OF THE 10 – It is being reported the $5 billion SoFi Stadium does not meet FIFA requirements to host World Cup in 2026.
As a direct result, Stan Kroenke could be forced to reconfigure the stadium.

From the [DailyMail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10677591/Arsenal-owner-Stan-Kroenke-faces-embarrassment-LA-Rams-forced-redevelop-stadium.html):
[Arsenal](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/teampages/arsenal.html) owner Stan Kroenke is facing embarrassment, with his [LA](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/los-angeles/index.html) Rams NFL franchise forced to redevelop their stadium 18 months after its opening to ensure it can stage 2026 World Cup matches.
The 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium is the most expensive in the world, with construction costs of £3.8billion, and hosted the [Super Bowl](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/super_bowl/index.html) last month.
But in a remarkable oversight, it does not meet [FIFA](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fifa/index.html)‘s requirements to stage World Cup matches.
In most respects the SoFi Stadium is a potential final venue for the 2026 tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, other than for the crucial fact that the pitch is too narrow for football.
