LGBT+ - Grammy-nominated pop artist David Archuleta is set to take the main stage as the headliner of the 10th Annual **Cathedral City LGBT+ Days Festival on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in downtown Cathedral City, California.**
This milestone Pride celebration, presented by Agua Caliente Casinos, runs from March 3–8 and marks a decade of community, advocacy, culture, and music in the Coachella Valley. Cathedral City LGBT+ Days is recognized as California’s first Pride event of the calendar year, bringing together residents, visitors, local leaders, artists, and allies for a week of performances, community events, and celebrations honoring LGBTQ+ identity and solidarity.
**Archuleta’s Performance & Festival Highlights**
Archuleta’s performance will be part of a full-day festival inside the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater, beginning at 12 p.m. and running through 9 p.m., with food, artisan vendors, drinks, and live entertainment.
General admission is free before 4 p.m., with modest ticket prices thereafter and VIP/reserved seating available.
Alongside Archuleta, the festival features a lineup of community favorites including:
- All-female band Pulp Vixen
- Morgan McMichaels’ Drag Extravaganza with RuPaul’s Drag Race performers
- Additional live acts and DJs contributing to a vibrant celebration of diversity and pride.
In addition to the headlining concert, March 7 includes the inaugural CommUNITY Strong Walk benefiting the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), emphasizing unity and support across communities.
**Archuleta’s Journey & Significance**
Archuleta first gained fame as the runner-up on American Idol Season 7 at age 16 and quickly became known for his soulful voice and heartfelt pop songs. More recently, he has been celebrated not just for his music but for his personal journey of self-discovery and authenticity, having publicly embraced his queer identity, a transition that has resonated deeply with fans and LGBTQ+ communities nationwide.
His music continues to showcase emotional depth and vulnerability, making him an especially meaningful choice as a festival headliner during a Pride event that champions resilience, community strength, and celebration.
**DEVOUT**
In his 2026 memoir, Devout, David Archuleta offers a deeply personal and candid look at his life growing up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while rising to fame after American Idol. The book traces his journey through faith, family expectations, identity, and the internal struggle he faced reconciling his religious devotion with his sexuality. With vulnerability and emotional honesty, Archuleta shares how stepping away from long-held beliefs ultimately helped him reclaim his voice — not just as a singer, but as a person. Devout is both a spiritual reckoning and a story of self-acceptance, resonating with readers navigating questions of faith, authenticity, and belonging.
