CITYWATCH TODAY—CityWatch is serving up an interesting menu this posting. From the Valley’s efforts to derail the bullet train to the Hollywood Fringe Festival’s tantrum over a Bitter Lemons’ point of view.

LA is having a ‘homeless moment.’ When was the last time you can recall so much attention being paid to LA’s … and California’s … ever growing homeless crisis? And, what’s responsible for this sudden surge of interest? Columnist Joe Mathews says it’s The Rich! Let him explain it. Top of the page … in Today’s CityWatch.

Metro’s Purple Line has hit a bump in the philosophical road and our planning voice Dick Platkin tries to get everybody back on track.
Joel Kotkin says California has its own religion of state and Rhea Suh helps us bid farewell to California’s last nuclear power plant. Not all CityWatch readers agree with Joel and Rhea. Do you?
All of this … and more … in Today’s CityWatch. Make yourself at home. Browse around. Let us know what you think. We’re always happiest when you stop by.
