CITYWATCH TODAY-Many Angelenos know the upcoming November election ballot is loaded with initiatives. Ballot measures. And, many know that all of them have a price tag attached. But, did you know that if all the measures involving tax are passed the Los Angeles share of the bill would come to $1.6 billion? Or, to get more personal: $1,100 for the average LA family? LA’s Watchdog, Jack Humphreville, provides the shocking and depressing details in Today’s CityWatch. A must read!
Prop H has to do with housing the homeless. It is being pitched as an attempt to … if not solve … provide some major relief for LA’s homeless crisis. CityWatch columnist, Tim Deegan, says not so fast … and, exposes the ‘unspoken catch’ in Prop H. The absentee voting gate swings open in just a few days. Check Tim Deegan out right now … in Today’s CityWatch.
Special Report: Jay Handal has been involved with neighborhood council elections for what I’m sure to him seems like a lifetime. He served as election manager through the 2016 NC elections. He discusses the lessons learned and the problems yet to be solved in a Special Report … in Today’s CityWatch. He thinks the biggest challenge on this front has to do with the myriad attempts by neighborhood councils at exclusion. See if you agree. Then send Jay … or me … an e-note. We think what you think is important.
