Editor’s Memo: Who Speaks for You?

October 10 2016
Written by Ken Draper.

CITYWATCH TODAY—Who speaks for you at City Hall? One might think that’s the promise … the job … of your City Councilperson. But, how can that be? Have you been asked by your council office what you think lately? I thought not.

There are those who think the Neighborhood Council system was created to provide you with a voice at City Hall. Seen or heard a Neighborhood Council member at City Hall on your behalf lately? I thought not. Too busy distributing the council funding to the needy … like City departments.

Tim Deegan examines the question … ‘Who speaks for you at City Hall?’ … in Today’s CityWatch. That, and much more. Check it out. Let us know what you think.
